Marlene is a vinyl doll designed by Rotraut Schrott
Marlene is a vinyl doll design by German doll artist Rotraut Schrott for The Great American Doll Company. She has blue eyes, real eyelashes top and bottom. She measures 26” in height and is dressed in an authentic old world style hand-sewn country dress. Each dress uses over 40 different pieces of materials, including 100-year-old European laces, imported Irish linen, silk ribbons and embroideries from around the world. She wears a gold chain and locket. She is accompanied by her pet named Popcorn. I understand that there was a two year limited production that retired in 1992. The original price on this doll in 1990 was 350.00. She was purchased from an estate sale so I do not know the complete history. Thank you for looking! Item Details: " Marlene " a doll designed by Rotraut Schrott from Unknown series/collection.
